Concrete Repair Mortars

Concrete repair mortars are designed to reinstate damaged, spalled or deteriorated concrete where a standard sand-and-cement patch is not sufficient. This range focuses on purpose-made repair mortars for patching, fairing, high-build restoration and rapid structural repairs on concrete panels, slabs, masonry and other compatible cement-based substrates.

Choose a repair mortar by the depth and type of repair

For shallow surface defects and finishing work, a fine fairing mortar can smooth blowholes, minor imperfections and repaired faces before coating. High-build mortars are suited to deeper repairs on vertical, horizontal or overhead concrete where the repair needs to hold its profile without slumping. Panel repair mortars are formulated for precast and tilt-up work, while rapid-set systems help return damaged concrete to service faster where downtime matters.

Structural and patch repair mortars

This collection includes RLA Penapatch Fairing Coat, HB50, HB80 and Panel LW repair mortars together with Mapei Mapegrout T40 and Fast-Set Rapido. Product selection should be based on repair depth, orientation, required compressive strength, substrate condition, reinforcement treatment and exposure conditions.

Prepare the concrete before repair

Remove loose or unsound concrete and contamination before placing repair mortar. Exposed reinforcement may require cleaning and corrosion treatment, and some systems require a compatible bonding slurry or primer. Always follow the current product technical data for substrate preparation, mixing, layer thickness, curing and any reinforcement requirements.
