What is the Auto Glass Range?
The Auto Glass Range is the Adheseal bonded-windscreen system: clean the bond face, prime it, then apply the structural adhesive. It covers windscreen and fixed-glass installation with Autoshield Activator, Autoshield GB Primer and NP-60 adhesive. Job-finishing accessories sit alongside the system.
In what order do I do the work?
Clean first, then prime, then apply. Wipe Autoshield Activator on and off the bond face, apply Autoshield GB Primer where needed, then extrude NP-60 in a triangular bead. Press the glass into place before it skins. Follow the order on the range page.
Do I always need to prime before bonding windscreen glass?
Not always. On plain glass, clean with Autoshield Activator, apply Autoshield GB Primer and let it dry before the adhesive. On ceramic-band glass, NP-60 is primerless: clean and abrade the band, then bond directly. Check the preparation path in the product technical data.
How long before the vehicle can be driven?
NP-60 passes FMVSS 212 with dual airbags after one hour of cure at 23°C and 50% relative humidity. Press the windscreen into place before the adhesive skins, within 20 to 35 minutes at 23°C. Check the drive-away window against the product technical data.
Does this range cover rubber-gasket glass fitting?
No. The Auto Glass Range is the bonded-urethane path: clean, prime and structural polyurethane adhesive. The older rubber-gasket method uses a non-structural mastic and is out of scope here. For modern vehicles, the bonded system is the structural bond the vehicle body relies on.
Who is this range for?
For windscreen and fixed-glass installers doing bonded vehicle glass replacement: glaziers, mobile auto-glass fitters and repair shops. It is the Adheseal chemical system for the bond, not a full install-hardware shop. Check each product's technical data before selecting a system.
