What are these products for?
Repairing and sealing pipes, tanks, and water structures. The Megapoxy range is for concrete pipe and tank repair, including underwater and rapid-set work. Nitoseal SC600 is a silicone sealant for pool and plumbing joints. You would use these on water infrastructure, not on a bathroom fit-out.
Can I use these on drinking water?
Several are certified to AS/NZS 4020 for potable water contact. Megapoxy H, Megapoxy P1, and Nitoseal SC600 all carry that certification. Check the current certificate and the approved substrates on the product page before you use it on a drinking-water system.
Which product do I use for a sewage or wastewater repair?
Megapoxy H, HT, and P1 resist the hydrogen sulphide gas found in sewage systems. Megapoxy PM and PF handle concrete pipe and tank repairs, including underwater cure. The right one depends on the exposure: sewage gas, continuous immersion, and splash each call for a different product.
Can any of these fix an active leak?
Megapoxy PF is a rapid-set paste for emergency repairs to concrete, pipes, and tanks. Megapoxy PM holds its strength underwater for field repairs. Read the working time and the surface prep notes before you start, and check whether the leak is still running when you apply it.
What is the difference between Nitoseal SC600 and the Megapoxy epoxies?
SC600 is a silicone sealant. It flexes, so it seals moving joints in pools, plumbing, and tanks. The Megapoxy products are two-part epoxies. They bond, grout, and coat rigid surfaces. Use SC600 for a joint that moves, and Megapoxy for a rigid repair.
