Frequently Asked Questions
Which PVA for general workshop use?
Everbond General Purpose PVA. Strong bond on close-fitting timber with normal clamp pressure, sands clean, and costs less per litre than the specialty grades.
Why a special PVA for melamine and MDF?
Engineered board absorbs standard PVA unevenly and starves the bond line. The melamine formula is thickened to stay where it is spread on porous board.
When does Xlink 3 earn its higher price?
Anywhere moisture will reach the joint: vanities, laundry cabinetry, exterior joinery. Cross-linking chemistry resists water that softens standard PVA.
What is PVA glue?
PVA glue is a water-based adhesive that dries clear and bonds well to porous surfaces. It is used for timber, joinery, cabinetry and workshop assembly. The adhesive is applied to both surfaces, allowed to dry, then pressed together.
Where can I buy bulk PVA glue?
Adheseal stocks bulk PVA glue in 5L packs for trade workshops. The Everbond range covers general-purpose, melamine and crosslink PVA grades. Check the product availability and pack sizes before you order.
What is the difference between PVA glue and PVA adhesive?
PVA glue and PVA adhesive are the same product. Both are water-based adhesives for timber, joinery and workshop assembly. The term PVA adhesive is common in trade use. Select the grade to suit the substrate and application.
