Frequently Asked Questions
Which Pasco silicone for glazing?
Pasco 911 glazing silicone. It is neutral cure, so it will not attack mirror backing or coated glass, and it weathers well in framed glazing.
When do I use 912 instead?
912 is the general-purpose partner: broader substrate range for aluminium, painted surfaces, and interior joints where glazing certification is not required. Mask both edges for a straight line and pull the tape before the silicone skins.
What does Aquastop waterstop do?
It strips across slab and wall joints and expands with moisture, sealing the construction joint before water reaches the interior side. Mask both edges for a straight line and pull the tape before the silicone skins.
How do I get a clean silicone line?
Tool the bead with a Pasco caulking blade or glazier spatula within the skin time. Stainless blades give repeatable profiles across long runs. Mask both edges for a straight line and pull the tape before the silicone skins.
Are the caulking blades reusable?
Yes. The stainless blades wipe clean and keep their profile for many jobs; the set covers standard radii. Mask both edges for a straight line and pull the tape before the silicone skins.
