For structural concrete repairs, steel anchoring, and wet-to-dry concrete bonding, Megapoxy H is a low-viscosity, solvent-free hydrophilic epoxy resin that creates permanent bonds stronger than the concrete itself. It complies with AS/NZS 4020:2018 for potable water contact, making it suitable for drinking water structures, and resists hydrogen sulphide exposure in sewage treatment environments.
What it does
Megapoxy H is a 100% solids liquid resin formulated to penetrate deep into cracks and bond directly to wet or dry substrates. Because it is hydrophilic, it maintains reliable adhesion during underwater and splashzone repairs. The low mixed viscosity of 800cps allows it to flow easily for gravity feeding, capillary crack sealing, or low-pressure balloon and mechanical nipple injection. It can also be mixed with graded silica sand to produce high-strength pourable grouts, trowellable repair mortars, or moisture-tolerant leveling screeds.

Where to use it

Concrete crack repair: Suitable for structural cracks via capillary action, low-pressure balloon injection, or high-pressure grease gun injection.

Epoxy mortars: Can be mixed with Silica 50N, Silica 16/30, or blue metal to create custom grouts, screeds, and high-strength concrete patches.

Installation limits and preparation
To prevent bond failure, surfaces must be prepared thoroughly. Concrete must be free of grease, oil, and surface laitance, requiring mechanical scabbling, grit blasting, grinding, or acid etching before drying. Metals must be grit blasted to AS 1627.2.2002 or mechanically abraded to bright metal, then degreased. All existing paint, coatings, or galvanising must be completely removed prior to application.
Limitations
- For vertical or overhead steel grouting and rendering, do not use Megapoxy H; use Megapoxy HT instead.
- Wire brushing of metal surfaces is not satisfactory and provides minimal adhesion only.
- Do not apply to coated or painted surfaces, as this will result in inferior bond strengths.
- Do not apply at temperatures below 10°C.
- The mixing ratio of 3 Part A to 1 Part B by volume must be strictly maintained; inaccurate mixing reduces physical properties and may cause curing failure or discolouration.
