Planitop Fine Finish is an ultra-fine cementitious skimming mortar for improving the appearance of sound concrete where the underlying structure is satisfactory but the surface finish is not. Its fine texture helps even out minor pores, formwork marks and shallow imperfections before a compatible coating or exposed concrete finish.
A finishing product, not a structural repair
On a precast panel or formed concrete wall, small surface variations can stand out once light hits the face. Planitop Fine Finish helps the contractor produce a more consistent appearance without unnecessarily rebuilding sound concrete. It is a useful finishing stage after suitable repairs have cured and been prepared, or on otherwise sound concrete that simply needs a finer surface.
How to select the mortar
Choose Planitop Fine Finish for fine surface correction; use Mapegrout T40 or a suitably designed repair product where concrete has spalled or substantial depth must be rebuilt. A thin skimming mortar cannot compensate for unsound concrete, active cracking or corrosion.
Before you start
Remove loose material and contamination, respect specified application thickness and substrate moisture requirements, and allow suitable curing before applying paint or coatings.

From a feather edge up to about 3mm per layer.
What is the pot life?
About 45 minutes at 23°C.
What is the typical consumption?
About 1.2kg/m² per millimetre of thickness.
Can it be applied over rising damp?
No. Rising-damp substrates are excluded.
