Frequently Asked Questions
Are these suitable for grinding and cutting work?
They are impact-rated safety glasses for general site eye protection against dust and flying particles. For high-speed grinding, add a face shield over them.
Do they fit over prescription glasses?
No. Wearers of prescription lenses should use prescription safety eyewear or over-glasses rated shields instead. Match the product spec to the job conditions before you start.
Do the lenses scratch easily?
Standard polycarbonate lenses mark with daily grinding debris. Replace them when vision clouds: scratched lenses strain eyes and hide fine cracks in the work. Keep a spare pair in the toolbox so a scratched lens never becomes a reason to work without protection.
Are they rated for Australian sites?
They carry impact-rated lenses with side shields meeting site PPE requirements. Check the marking on the frame matches your site specification. Replace them immediately if the frame or lens takes a heavy impact.
Are replacement lenses available?
For most safety glasses the whole unit is replaced rather than re-lensed, which keeps cost low and guarantees you are always looking through undamaged certified material.
