Epoxy Tile Grout

Epoxy tile grout is used where a tiled installation needs greater chemical resistance, lower water absorption and easier hygiene management than a standard cementitious grout can provide. It is commonly specified for showers, bathrooms, swimming pools, commercial kitchens, food-processing areas and other demanding tiled environments.

When to choose epoxy grout

Choose epoxy grout when the service environment calls for a dense, non-absorbent joint with strong resistance to staining, moisture and many common chemicals. Epoxy grout is also useful where consistent colour and a smooth decorative finish are important. It behaves differently from cement grout, so working time, cleaning technique and cure conditions need to be planned before installation begins.

This collection currently centres on Mapei Kerapoxy Easy Design, a two-component decorative epoxy grout for 1–15mm joints that can also be used as an R2T epoxy adhesive where suitable. It is available in a broad colour range for wall and floor tiling in wet, decorative and hygiene-sensitive applications.

Epoxy grout installation and clean-up

Cleaning is part of the installation process with epoxy grout. Remove residue while the material is fresh using the manufacturer’s recommended sponge, abrasive pad and cleaner. Hardened epoxy haze is substantially harder to remove. Always check the current technical data for compatible tile types, working time, service exposure and cure requirements.
