What is epoxy grout used for?
It grouts tile joints where cement grout will not hold up. The joint stays non-absorbent and resists staining, moisture and common chemicals. Showers, pools, commercial kitchens and food areas are typical jobs.
What joint widths does Kerapoxy Easy Design suit?
It covers 1mm to 15mm joints, from narrow mosaics through to wider tile joints on walls and floors. Check the technical data before working outside that range on your tile format.
How long does epoxy grout take to cure?
Allow four days before normal service. Pools and basins need longer before filling, so plan the shutdown around that. The 45 minute pot life at about 23 degrees sets the working window.
Can I use Kerapoxy Easy Design as an adhesive too?
Yes. It works as an R2T epoxy adhesive as well as a grout, so compatible tile bonding can be done with the same two-component material where the system suits the substrate.
Why choose epoxy grout over cementitious grout?
Epoxy does not absorb water, so the joint resists staining and holds colour in wet, busy areas. Cement grout is porous and needs sealing. The trade off is the cleaning, which must finish while the epoxy is fresh.
How do I remove epoxy grout residue?
Clean it while the material is still fresh, with a wet cellulose sponge or a suitable abrasive pad. Use UltraCare Kerapoxy Cleaner for the final cleaning on compatible surfaces. Hardened haze is much harder to remove.
