Gripset B09 Asphalt Resurfacer & Rejuvenator is a cold-applied bituminous surface treatment for restoring oxidised and weathered asphalt. It replenishes binder content in the asphalt layer and forms a durable modified bitumen coating for pavement maintenance across driveways, car parks, residential streets, paths and other asphalt surfaces.

Rejuvenates weathered asphalt

B09 is designed for resurfacing pitted asphalt and extending the service life of oxidised pavement. Its polymer-modified formulation provides strong adhesion and durability while creating a non-tacky finished surface.

Application and preparation

Apply only to structurally sound asphalt or bitumen surfaces that have been properly cleaned and prepared. Existing cracks should be repaired first with Gripset B26 Asphalt Crack Filler before B09 is used as the resurfacing and rejuvenation coat.

Important use distinction

B09 is a pavement resurfacer and rejuvenator rather than a crack filler. Use B26 for individual asphalt cracks and B09 for broader oxidised or pitted asphalt surfaces.

At 23°C and 50% relative humidity, tack-free time is about 20 minutes, recoat about 30 minutes and weatherproofing about 4–6 hours. Vehicle or pedestrian traffic can return after about 24 hours under standard conditions.

How To Apply

Prepare asphalt so it is structurally sound, stable and clean. Repair cracks and deeper pavement defects before applying the surface treatment. Remove oil, grease, wax, algae and moss before coating. Stir Gripset B09 thoroughly and apply by spray, manual squeegee or suitable mechanical squeegee. Apply about 1 litre per 2m² and use 2 coats for optimum durability. Where the current TDS permits cement acceleration, use the specified cement-slurry addition and observe the approximately 4-hour pot life.

Limitations and Safety Info

Do not use for major road resurfacing. Do not apply below 5°C or above 35°C. Do not use where heavy or continuous solvent or petroleum spillage is expected. Do not use where negative hydrostatic pressure is present. Do not use as a waterproof membrane.
