SikaGrout HES is a rapid-setting, high-early-strength cementitious grout for supporting equipment and structural elements where an early return to service matters. This ready-mixed Class C shrinkage-compensated grout can be mixed to a flowable or trowellable consistency for appropriately prepared concrete and steel interfaces.
Where to use SikaGrout HES
Use it beneath machine base plates, around compatible anchors and starter bars, beneath bridge bearing pads, and in precast concrete joints, cavities and recesses. The grout is non-corrosive to steel and iron and is designed to maintain contact beneath properly supported elements.
Strength and working time
At the stated test conditions, compressive strength develops to approximately 15 MPa after 2 hours and 65 MPa after 28 days. Working time is around 20 minutes at 23°C, so prepare the area and equipment before mixing. Placement thickness is generally 10–150 mm per application at 23°C.
Before you grout
Mechanically mix complete 20 kg bags; do not hand-mix, use part bags, add water to grout that has stiffened or vibrate the placed grout. Allow the specified water addition for the required consistency and protect and cure the placed grout as directed. Refer to the complete product instructions for water ratios, placement and curing conditions.

What is SikaGrout HES used for?
Machine base plates, anchoring, starter bars, bridge bearing pads, precast panel grouting, and cavities, gaps, and recesses where rapid strength and return to service are required.
How fast does SikaGrout HES gain strength?
It sets fast and builds high early strength, so equipment can go back to work sooner. The full strength timeline is in the technical specifications.
How much water do I add?
Flowable: 3.2 to 3.5 litres per 20 kg bag. Trowellable: 2.5 to 2.8 litres per 20 kg bag. Pot life is about 20 minutes at 23°C.
- Suits: Concrete structures and elements for machine base plates, anchoring, starter bars, bridge bearing pads, precast panel grouting, and cavities, gaps, and recesses. Steel and iron fixings: the grout is non-corrosive.
- Prepare: Surfaces must be sound and clean. Follow the product instructions before placement.
