Small surface defects can spoil the finish of otherwise sound concrete. Sika MonoTop® FC is a fine, polymer-modified cementitious fairing mortar for filling shallow blowholes, minor honeycombing and surface imperfections before a compatible coating or finished concrete presentation.
Fine finishing rather than bulk repair
Use MonoTop FC where concrete is fundamentally sound but needs localised smoothing, pore filling or minor edge correction. Its fine texture is suited to thin applications and can be sanded after curing to help achieve a more even finish.
Where it fits in a concrete repair
MonoTop FC is a surface fairing coat, not a structural reinstatement mortar. Deeper spalls, exposed reinforcement or load-bearing repairs require an appropriate repair system; where reinforcing steel protection is specified, see SikaTop Armatec-110 EpoCem as one system component.
Supplied in a 15 kg bag for thin-layer work, typically 0–3 mm. Prepare and dampen the substrate as directed, then check curing and overcoating times in the current Sika data sheet before applying a finish.
