When a concrete repair exposes reinforcing steel, the repair mortar is only one part of the system. SikaTop® Armatec®-110 EpoCem® is a three-component epoxy-cementitious coating used to protect correctly prepared reinforcement and, where specified, form a bonding bridge beneath compatible concrete repair mortars.
Protect the steel before reinstating concrete
Use Armatec-110 EpoCem on prepared exposed reinforcing bars in a suitable repair specification. It can also prime sound prepared concrete before compatible normal-setting repair mortars, subject to Sika's required application window. For final surface fairing after suitable repairs, see Sika MonoTop FC; the two products perform different jobs.
System and pack selection
The pre-proportioned 20 kg kit contains Part A 1.14 kg, Part B 2.86 kg and Part C 16 kg. Follow the manufacturer's component mixing sequence without adding water. This is not a standalone patching mortar and is not specified as a bonding primer beneath fast-setting concrete or repair mortars.
