Mapei Keracolor FF is a fine-grained, polymer-modified cementitious grout designed to finish narrow tile joints up to 6 mm wide. It offers the familiar look and workability of cement grout with Mapei's DropEffect water-repellent technology, making it a practical choice when you want a neat, durable joint across tiled walls and floors.
It is particularly well suited to ceramic and porcelain tiling, mosaics and compatible natural stone where a finer joint finish matters. In bathrooms, kitchens and other correctly designed tiled wet areas, the water-repellent formulation helps reduce surface water absorption. It does not replace the waterproofing membrane beneath the tiles.
Where to use Keracolor FF
- Bathrooms and showers: Finish suitable narrow wall and floor tile joints with a fine-textured cementitious grout.
- Kitchen splashbacks and floors: Create consistent joints between ceramic and porcelain tiles in everyday residential and commercial spaces.
- Internal and external tiling: Grout compatible tiled installations where the project specification, substrate and curing conditions permit.
Keracolor FF or another Mapei grout?
Choose Keracolor FF for joints up to 6 mm when a fine cementitious finish and water repellence are priorities. For wider joints of 4–15 mm, Keracolor GG is the purpose-made alternative. If fast return to service is the deciding factor, consider Ultracolor Plus. For demanding chemical resistance and a non-absorbent epoxy joint, compare Kerapoxy Easy Design.
Getting the best finish
Keep joint widths within the specified range, mix consistently with the prescribed amount of water and clean at the appropriate stage to reduce colour variation and grout haze. Test on sensitive or textured tiles first. Use a suitable flexible sealant, not cement grout, at designed movement joints, corners and changes of plane. Follow the applicable curing requirements before water exposure or immersion.
What joint width is Keracolor FF for?
It is designed for joints up to 6mm wide.
What classification does it have?
It is classified CG2WA to ISO 13007-3.
Can it be used in swimming pools?
