Gripset C-Lite is a premium C2TES2 high-performance tile adhesive for commercial, large-format and high-movement installations. Its lightweight polymer technology combines strong flexibility, non-slump performance and extended open time with suitability for internal, external and immersed tiling.

Tile and substrate compatibility

C-Lite is suitable for porcelain, vitrified tiles, mosaics and non-moisture-sensitive natural stone. Approved substrates include concrete, screeds and renders, rendered masonry, blockwork, plasterboard linings, compressed fibre-cement sheeting and compatible Gripset waterproofing membranes.

Working data

Gripset lists a 30-minute open time, 40-minute adjustment time and approximately 6–7m² coverage from a 15kg bag using a 10mm notched trowel. Wet areas require appropriate curing before service and immersed areas require a longer cure before filling.

Important limitations

Do not use with moisture-sensitive stone or outside the substrate and service conditions covered by the current Gripset technical data sheet. Substrate preparation, priming, coverage and cure times must follow Gripset guidance and AS 3958.

Can it be used directly on timber floors?
No. Direct fixing to timber floors is excluded.

Uses & Benefits  
Highly flexible white cementitious tile adhesive for internal and external walls, floors and immersed tiling. Classified C2TES2. Suitable for porcelain, vitrified tile, mosaics and moisture-stable natural stone. Open time is about 30 minutes and pot life about 2 hours at 23°C and 50% relative humidity. Pools, spas and water features can be filled after about 7 days cure.
How To Apply  
Prepare all surfaces in accordance with AS 3958. Mix 4.5L clean water per 15kg bag. Add powder to water, mix until lump-free, rest 3 minutes, then remix. Apply in sections of about 1m² and replace adhesive if it skins over. Use at least 2mm final bed thickness on walls and 3mm on floors. For tiles larger than 300 x 300mm, profiled tiles or clip-system installations, back-butter the tile to achieve full contact. Allow about 7 days before filling pools, spas or water features.
Limitations and Safety Info  
Do not apply below 5°C or above 35°C. Do not fix tiles directly to timber floors. Do not use with moisture-sensitive natural stone. Do not spot-fix tiles. Use a full wet bed of adhesive.

  • Concrete cured at least 7 days and at least 20MPa.
  • Screeds and renders cured at least 24 hours.
  • Rendered masonry and blockwork.
  • Plasterboard and compressed fibre-cement sheet.
  • Compatible Gripset waterproofing membranes.
  • Prepared existing tile after mechanical abrasion or Gripset OP Primer.
