What can the bonding and anchoring stage join?
The live Products support evidence-backed bonding of natural stone, precast concrete, brick, tile, ceramic, metal fixtures, and structural anchors. The range includes cementitious and epoxy grades, with epoxy Products providing most of the structural and stone-specific coverage. Choose by substrate, load, movement, moisture, colour, and the required cure or work time.
Why are there several Megapoxy grades?
The Megapoxy evidence describes different viscosities, sag resistance, cure behaviour, colour, and use cases. Some grades are non-sag pastes for vertical or overhead work, some are low-viscosity materials for cracks or penetration, and others are translucent or colourable for visible stone joints. They should not be treated as interchangeable without checking the Product data.
Is a cementitious tile adhesive part of Masonry & Stone?
Yes. Mapei Keraflex Maxi S1 is included because its evidence names natural stone and large-format tile bonding. It also appears in Tiling because the same Product can support more than one trade journey. Its stable Product identity remains Adhesive; the two journey placements only describe where the Product is used.
How should stone surfaces be prepared before bonding?
Surface preparation depends on the adhesive and substrate, but the journey places preparation before bonding for this reason. The evidence includes cleaning, priming, removing contamination, controlling moisture, and creating a suitable bond surface. Follow the selected Product instructions for stone, concrete, masonry, metal, and ceramic rather than relying on a generic preparation rule.
Are visible stone joints supported?
Yes. Megapoxy 63 supports visible natural-stone work where a translucent adhesive line matters. Megapoxy 254 evidence also describes non-staining use on natural stone and ceramics. Megapoxy Pigment Paste is available later in the Grout & Finish stage for supported colour matching. Confirm colour, staining, substrate compatibility, and cure conditions before specifying a visible joint.
