Megapoxy HX is a specially formulated, extra low viscosity, 100% solids, solvent-free hydrophilic epoxy resin. It is designed for the repair of cracked concrete by gravity penetration or low-pressure injection, as well as for the impregnation of porous substrates like masonry and timber. Megapoxy HX is also effective as a low viscosity laminating resin for fibreglass work, offering high strength and durability in various applications.

Key Features

  • VOC free
  • Hydrophilic
  • Extra low viscosity for easy penetration
  • Mixes easily by hand
  • Provides very high strength, permanent bonds
  • Excellent tensile and compressive strengths superior to concrete
  • Excellent chemical resistance

Suitable Substrates

  • Concrete
  • Masonry
  • Timber
  • Fibreglass

Uses

  • Casting
  • Concrete crack repair
  • Low pressure injection
  • Surface hardening
  • Floor repairs
  • Laminating
  • Masonry sealing
  • Capillary action
  • Vacuum bagging

Benefits

  • Ensures durable and long-lasting repairs in various environments
  • Offers excellent penetration into porous substrates
  • Effective in both dry and wet conditions
  • Provides superior adhesion to a range of surfaces
  • Resistant to chemical exposure, enhancing longevity

Application Guide

  1. Prepare surfaces by cleaning and removing any grease, oil, or coatings. Use mechanical abrasion or acid etching for concrete surfaces, and grit blasting or abrasion for metals.
  2. Mix Part A and Part B in a 3:1 ratio thoroughly to ensure proper curing and physical properties.
  3. Apply the mixed resin to the prepared surfaces using gravity penetration, low-pressure injection, or other appropriate methods.
  4. Allow the adhesive to cure for the recommended time based on the ambient temperature (minimum 12 to 48 hours).
  5. Clean tools and equipment with Megapoxy Thinners immediately after use.

Limitations

  • Ensure accurate mixing to avoid incomplete curing or discoloration over time.
  • Not recommended for use on coated surfaces unless coatings are removed.
