Everbond Ultra Clear Brush Contact is a high-performance, clear, brushable contact adhesive designed for applications where visible glue lines are undesirable. It is commonly used in manufacturing neoprene drink coolers and various other bonding applications.

Uses

  • Manufacturing of neoprene drink coolers
  • Bonding various materials in transport vehicle production (PUR foams, textiles, cover trims, edging profiles, etc.)
  • Auto upholstery and furniture upholstery
  • General bonding applications where a clear, strong bond is required

Suitable substrates include:

  • Timber
  • Rubber sheets
  • Plastic laminates
  • Leather
  • Fabric
  • Cloth-backed and polyester-backed vinyl
  • MDF
  • Particleboard
  • Concrete
  • Glass
  • Metal sheets

Benefits

  • Ultra-clear formula for invisible bond lines
  • One-component adhesive, ready to use
  • Very short flash-off time
  • High initial strength for quick bonding
  • Easy to apply with a brush
  • Resistant to aging and high heat
  • Broad adhesion range for various substrates
  • Fast drying time (approximately 3-5 minutes)

Application Guide

  1. Ensure adhesion surfaces are clean, dry, and free of contaminants like oils, fats, and loose materials.
  2. Apply the adhesive evenly to both surfaces using a suitable roller, brush, or notched trowel.
  3. Wait until the adhesive is touch dry (typically 3-5 minutes, depending on conditions).
  4. Bring the materials together with strong, even pressure.
  5. Avoid creating adhesive pools, which can lead to weak bonds and blistering.
  6. For open-weave or porous materials, consider using a spray adhesive to prevent bleed-through.

Limitations

  • Do not use in temperatures below 10°C, as condensation may form and prevent bonding.
  • Optimal application temperature is 20°C for atmosphere, materials, and adhesive.
  • Avoid applying excessive adhesive, allowing pooling, or joining substrates too early, as this can lead to trapped solvents and weak bonds.
