Aluminium Angle Unequal 50 × 40 is a near-equal 6060-T5 mill-finish extrusion with a 50mm face and 40mm return. It provides broad coverage on both sides of a corner, while leaving one face 10mm shorter for details that do not need a perfectly symmetrical 50 × 50mm angle.
This profile works well in suitable panel edge protection, shopfitting enclosures and caravan or vehicle fabrication where the small difference between the two faces helps the section fit. Choose 50 × 50mm if both faces must match; choose 50 × 25mm for a much shallower return.
| Leg dimensions | 50 × 40 mm |
|---|---|
| Geometry | Unequal angle |
| Alloy / temper | 6060 T5 |

| Current stock | 1.6 mm × 3250 mm or 3.0 mm × 3250 mm |
Stock: 1.6mm or 3.0mm wall thickness, both in 3250mm lengths. Check which face will be visible, where fixing holes or bonding beads can go and whether the length can be transported and handled safely.
Mill finish is not an anodised protective treatment. Prepare for any specified coating, cut with a suitable non-ferrous blade and confirm the project's required fastening and load capacity.
