ARDEX RA 88 Plus is a high-strength, non-sag two-part epoxy repair adhesive for filling, patching and rigidly bonding concrete and other suitable construction materials. Its trowelable paste consistency makes it particularly useful for vertical and overhead repairs where a low-viscosity injection resin would run out of the repair.
Why choose RA 88 Plus?
The ceramic-filled epoxy can be used for small concrete holes and spalls, rigid crack repairs, setting anchor bolts and bonding suitable metal, brick, wood, stone, block and concrete surfaces. It can also secure injection ports and cap cracks ahead of an appropriate low-viscosity structural injection product, such as ARDEX RA 142.
Where it fits
- Vertical and overhead concrete patching with a non-drip epoxy paste.
- Small rigid crack, hole and spall repairs on compatible prepared surfaces.
- Fixing suitable anchor bolts, handrails and other rigid construction details.
- Selected underwater tile repairs where ARDEX's system requirements are met.
Working and cure times
ARDEX lists an approximate 20-minute working time and a 2–3-hour window before full traffic or painting under suitable conditions. Temperatures, repair depth and other site conditions affect handling and cure; prepare the repair area before mixing or dispensing.
Important limitations
This is a rigid epoxy, not a flexible sealant for movement joints or active cracks. Large, deep masses of epoxy can generate excessive heat as they cure, so repairs must stay within the product's specified size limits. Confirm surface preparation, underwater repair suitability and coating compatibility for the actual application.
