Choose Diggers Xylene when solvent based acrylic (SBA) sealers need thinning, stripping or clean-up. Its high solvency power and mid-to-slow evaporation rate make it suitable for preparing and restoring sealed surfaces while providing a longer working time than fast-evaporating solvents.
Not every solvent is suitable for acrylic sealers. Diggers Xylene is formulated specifically for thinning solvent based acrylic sealers in accordance with the sealer manufacturer's instructions and for stripping existing SBA sealers when maintenance or re-coating is required.
It also removes grease, oil and dirt before surface preparation, helping restore a clean working surface before further treatment.
Flash point: 26°C. Although less volatile than acetone, xylene remains flammable and should always be kept away from ignition sources.
Boiling point: 136–145°C. The higher boiling range contributes to its mid-to-slow evaporation, giving more working time when thinning or stripping sealers.
Specific gravity: 0.87. Suitable for heavy-duty solvent cleaning and sealer maintenance applications.
High solvency power. Designed to dissolve solvent based acrylic sealers efficiently during thinning or removal.
When thinning sealers, always follow the sealer manufacturer's recommendations. For stripping sealers, saturate a lint-free cloth and wipe the surface using a clean section of cloth for each pass to avoid spreading dissolved sealer back onto the substrate.
Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye or face protection when handling Diggers Xylene. Keep away from ignition sources and follow safe handling practices.

No. Do not use Xylene on painted surfaces or Perspex. Test a small hidden area first on any other surface.
