When flooring work needs a quick turnaround, the screed must develop strength while releasing moisture fast enough for the next stage. Sikafloor®-215 Rapid Screed is a pre-blended, fast-drying engineered cementitious screed for creating level floors and formed falls ahead of compatible tiling and floor-finishing systems.
Prepare floors without prolonged screed delays
Designed for residential and commercial floors, the mix offers practical working time, low shrinkage and high strength. It can be used for bonded or unbonded screeds on suitable internal and external projects where the substrate and floor specification permit.
Bonded and unbonded installation
Sika lists 10–100 mm for bonded screeds and 30–80 mm for unbonded screeds. Under its stated conditions, suitable tiles may be installed after approximately 15 hours; actual moisture, temperature and curing conditions affect readiness. Supplied in 20 kg bags. Confirm the specified bonding system, reinforcement, surface preparation and covering readiness before installation.
Flooring readiness: Sika specifies approximately 15 hours before suitable tiling or levelling at 23°C, but approximately 3 days before impervious coverings or membranes. Mix each 20 kg bag with 1.9–2.1 L clean cool water; actual readiness depends on layer thickness, site temperature, airflow and moisture.
