A bonded screed is only as reliable as its connection to the concrete beneath it. Topcem Pronto Slurry creates the fresh bonding layer between prepared concrete and a compatible Topcem Pronto screed, helping the two work together rather than separating under service.
Where to use it
- Bonding compatible Topcem Pronto screeds to prepared concrete.
- Interior and exterior bonded screed installations where a wet-on-wet slurry layer is required.
On site
- Brush the mixed slurry thoroughly into the prepared, suitably dampened concrete.
- Lay the screed while the slurry is still fresh; never allow the bonding coat to dry first.
Before you start
Not a standalone structural repair mortar or general-purpose floor primer. Keep the bonding process wet-on-wet.
What is Topcem Pronto Slurry used for?
It is the bonding slurry used beneath bonded Topcem Pronto engineered screeds.
How thick should the slurry be?
Apply a continuous layer about 2 to 3mm thick.
What is the mixing ratio?
Use 3 parts slurry with 2 parts Planicrete SP, or 3 parts slurry with 1 part Planicrete and 1 part water.
Can the slurry dry before the screed is placed?
No. Topcem Pronto must be installed fresh-on-fresh.
