Yes – the tape is UV stable and can be used in exposed applications. However, for maximum durability at edges, overlap with a membrane or protective finish.

Application Guide
- Surface Preparation: Ensure all substrates are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, laitance, loose particles, and contaminants. Fill surface voids and repair damage before application. Prime if required, especially on porous or dusty surfaces.
- Measuring & Cutting: Measure the required length of Gripset BRW PF Tape for the detail or junction to be sealed. Cut to length with scissors or a sharp utility knife.
- Peel & Position: Remove the release liner from the adhesive side and carefully position the tape over the prepared substrate. Avoid stretching the tape during placement.
- Application Pressure: Firmly press the tape into place using a roller or hand pressure to ensure full adhesive contact, especially at edges. For corners and irregular shapes, ensure the tape is dressed tightly to the surface without voids or folds.
- Overlapping: Where joints or multiple lengths are required, overlap a minimum of 50 mm. Ensure overlaps are firmly rolled to seal the joint.
- Integration with Membranes: Apply Gripset liquid membrane directly over the non-woven polyester face as soon as the tape is installed. No cure time is required before overcoating.
- Clean-Up: Remove any dust or contaminants from the polyester face before membrane application. Store unused rolls in their original packaging, away from heat and direct sunlight.
Note: For cold weather applications, store tape above 15 °C before use or gently warm prior to installation to improve adhesion and flexibility.

Limitations
- Not designed for continuous immersion in water unless used as part of an approved submerged system.
- Do not apply to damp or wet surfaces unless specifically approved for the system.
- Application temperature range: ideally between 10 °C and 30 °C.
- Avoid stretching the tape during application to prevent shrinkage or lifting.
- Ensure the tape is fully adhered without air pockets or voids for optimal performance.
- Long-term UV exposure may cause surface discolouration of the polyester face, though this will not affect performance.

- Non-hazardous and solvent-free; safe for use in confined or occupied areas.
- Wear gloves when handling to avoid adhesive transfer to skin.
