Preparation is key. Substrates must be dry, sound, and clean, often requiring mechanical preparation like shot blasting or diamond grinding to achieve an open, porous surface. Mix 3.8 to 4.0 litres of clean water with each 20kg bag, ensuring a lump-free consistency after three minutes of low-speed mixing. All substrates must be clean, dry, sound, and compliant with Australian Standards. Remove all contaminants including oils, wax, curing compounds, and adhesive residues.
Dilute RLA Universal Primer 1:2 with clean water. Apply one or two coats as needed. Allow to dry tack-free.
Mechanically abrade if necessary. Apply neat RLA Universal Primer. Let dry completely before proceeding.
Mix 20kg of RLA TruLevel TuffTop with 3.8–4.0L of clean water using a low-speed mechanical mixer. Add powder to water slowly.
