Use Megapoxy PM for: Non-staining bonding of marble and stone, high-strength concrete repair, and all vertical or overhead structural bonding.

Megapoxy PM: A Product Overview

When you’re working with expensive white or light-coloured marble, there is zero room for error. Megapoxy PM is the high-performance epoxy paste adhesive specifically formulated to deliver powerful, structural bonds without staining or discolouring sensitive natural stone. This gives you the confidence to get the job done right first time, protecting your work and your reputation from costly discolouration failures.

Beyond its specialist non-staining properties, Megapoxy PM is a job-site workhorse for general concrete repair, grouting bolts, and bonding metal, fibreglass, and precast articles. Its Nil VOC formulation, true non-sag consistency, and simple 1:1 mix ratio make it the predictable, reliable, and smart choice for professional trades.

Guaranteed Non-Staining Formula

Confidently bond and fill light-coloured marble, granite, and ceramics. This protects your high-value materials and prevents costly callbacks for staining or yellowing.

80Mpa
Compressive Strength — cures to a permanent, stone-like solid with strength superior to concrete itself, ensuring your repairs are structural and built to last.

Core Features & Specifications

  • Critically Non-Staining: Specially formulated to be free of staining or discolouration, making it the essential, safe choice for white or light-coloured marble, granite, and ceramics.
  • True Non-Sag Paste: A creamy, thixotropic paste that holds its form, allowing for clean, easy application on vertical and overhead surfaces without slumping or dripping.
  • Simple 1:1 Mix Ratio: Easy-to-use 1 Part A to 1 Part B by volume mix ratio streamlines preparation and ensures predictable, error-free performance on site.
  • High Structural Strength: Delivers outstanding permanent bond strength, including 80Mpa compressive strength and 20Mpa tensile bond strength to steel.
  • Job-Site Ready: Adheres and cures reliably even in adverse conditions, including cold (minimum 10°C) and damp environments.

The Megapoxy PM Advantage

  • Protect Your High-Value Work: Eliminates the primary risk of working with expensive stone. Get a perfect, clean finish with zero callbacks for staining.
  • Work Faster on Verticals: The non-sag body and 45-minute work time (at 25°C) give you time to perfectly tool and finish vertical joints or overhead repairs without rushing or re-work.

  • Nil VOC & Easy Handling: A creamy texture that blends easily, coupled with a Nil VOC formulation, makes it a better and safer choice for interior and on-site applications.

Adheseal tips for using Megapoxy PM

Scenario: Incorrect Mixing Ratio

Potential Outcome: The epoxy fails to cure, remains soft, or has severely compromised strength. If not fully mixed, it can also lead to discolouration, defeating its purpose.

Adheseal Best Practice: Always measure 1 Part A to 1 Part B by *volume*—do not guess. Mix thoroughly on a clean board or in a bucket until the colour is 100% uniform with no streaks.

Scenario: Bonding to Contaminated Stone

Potential Outcome: The adhesive bonds to dust, slurry, or oil, not the stone itself, leading to a weak bond that fails under load.

Adheseal Best Practice: Stone and ceramic surfaces must be completely clean, dry, and free of all dust. Wipe with a clean, dry cloth or a solvent (if appropriate) just before application for a first-time-right bond.

Applications in Practice: Trade Scenarios

For Stonemasons: Installing White Marble Vanities

The Professional's Challenge

Bonding expensive marble vanity tops and splashbacks where any adhesive bleed-through or discolouration will ruin the job and destroy profitability.

The Adheseal Solution

Use Megapoxy PM White. The non-staining formula guarantees a clean, permanent fix. The non-sag paste also allows for filling and bonding vertical joints. Success means a spotless, high-end finish and a happy client.

Best Practice Note

Apply adhesive neatly and ensure the surfaces are clean and dry. Clean any excess or smears with Megapoxy Thinners *before* the epoxy begins to cure. Once cured, it is extremely difficult to remove.

For Remedial Contractors: Overhead Concrete Repair

The Professional's Challenge

Repairing spalled concrete on the underside of a slab or beam, requiring a structural-grade filler that won't slump or fall during application.

The Adheseal Solution

Megapoxy PM (Grey) is ideal for this. The true non-sag paste can be trowelled overhead and will hold its shape, allowing you to build out the repair. Its 80Mpa strength ensures the fix is structural. Success means a single-visit permanent repair.

Best Practice Note

Substrate prep is critical. Mechanically abrade the surface to remove all loose concrete and laitance. The bond is only as good as the surface you're applying it to.

How to apply Megapoxy PF Rapid Set Epoxy Paste Adhesive:

  1. Prepare Surfaces: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and loose materials.
  2. Mix Components Quickly: Dispense equal parts of Part A (White) and Part B (White or Dark Grey) and mix rapidly and thoroughly for approximately 15-20 seconds until a uniform colour is achieved. Due to the short work time, mix only a small amount at a time.
  3. Apply Immediately: Apply the mixed adhesive to the prepared surfaces immediately within the 3-minute work time. Ensure good contact between the surfaces.
  4. Hold or Clamp: Hold or clamp the bonded parts firmly for at least 10-15 minutes to allow the adhesive to set and gain initial strength. The "hardens-as-you-hold-it" characteristic is key here.
  5. Allow to Cure: Allow the adhesive to cure for the minimum recommended time based on the temperature (2 hours at 15°C, 1 hour at 25°C, 30 minutes at 35°C) before subjecting the bonded area to stress.
  6. Clean Up Quickly: Clean any excess uncured adhesive from tools immediately with Megapoxy Thinners or a suitable solvent. Cured epoxy is very difficult to remove.

Megapoxy PF Rapid Set Epoxy Paste Adhesive limitations:

  • Very Short Work Time: The 3-minute work time at 25°C requires quick and efficient application. This may not be suitable for complex or large-scale applications where more time is needed.
  • Minimum Application Temperature: Not recommended for use below 10°C.
  • Lower Tensile Bond Strength to Steel Compared to Megapoxy P1: While still strong, the tensile bond strength to steel is lower than Megapoxy P1, which might be a consideration for specific high-stress metal bonding applications.

Safety precautions when using Megapoxy PF Rapid Set Epoxy Paste Adhesive:

  • Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear chemical-resistant gloves (e.g., nitrile) and safety glasses with side shields to prevent skin and eye contact.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation in the work area during mixing and application.
  • Handling: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash hands thoroughly after use.
  • First Aid: Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for detailed first aid instructions.
