Bostik Fireban One is a professional-grade intumescent polyurethane sealant specifically engineered for fire-rated expansion joints in concrete, masonry, and high-rise facade assemblies. It combines a certified 4-hour fire barrier with a low modulus formulation that accommodates 50% total movement (± 25%), ensuring the seal remains intact during extreme structural expansion and contraction without tearing.

Fully compliant with AS 1530.4-2014 and acoustic-rated, this thixotropic paste provides critical protection against fire, smoke, and noise transfer in high-stakes commercial and residential partitioning.

Frequently Asked Questions About Bostik Fireban® One

Q: How should Bostik Fireban® One be applied for best results?

A: Ensure surfaces are clean and dry, apply recommended primer, then dispense using a sausage barrel gun. Tool off to a concave finish for optimal sealing.

Q: How does it perform under extreme conditions?

A: Fireban® One remains durable under UV exposure, weathering, and supports joint movement of ±25%, making it suitable for Australian outdoor environments.

Q: Is it compatible with painted surfaces and coatings?

A: It can be painted after 7 days; however, solvent-based coatings may react. Conduct a field test for coating compatibility before full application.

Q: What if the sealant is exposed to water before curing?
