Can I apply Epocote F100W to a visibly wet slab?
No. While it is designed for damp concrete, the surface must be free from ponding or running water. It is suitable for substrates with a maximum moisture content of 10%. Always ensure the surface is prepared correctly to guarantee a tenacious bond.
What is the maximum time I can leave the primer before applying a membrane?
The maximum re-coat time is 24 hours at 20°C. If this window is exceeded, the primed surface must be mechanically abraded and re-primed to ensure proper inter-coat adhesion for the subsequent waterproofing system. Plan your work accordingly to avoid this extra step.
Do I always need to dilute the first coat?
Dilution is only recommended for porous concrete substrates prone to pin-holing or outgassing. For standard, good-quality concrete, apply the product undiluted. If dilution is required for the first coat, the second coat must always be applied undiluted.

Product Limitations
Not for use on substrates with a moisture content exceeding 10% or those subject to rising damp or negative hydrostatic pressure.
Maximum re-coat time is 24 hours at 20°C. Exceeding this window requires mechanical preparation before re-priming.
Application temperature must be between 10°C and 35°C. Curing will be significantly delayed in cold weather.

Personal Protective Equipment

Ventilation Requirements

Emergency First Aid
Eyes:
Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists, get medical attention.
Skin:

Concrete (Damp or "Green")
Surface Preparation
Substrates must be structurally sound (minimum 25 MPa), smooth, clean, and free from all dust, laitance, loose matter, oil, curing compounds, and other contaminants. Concrete should be 14-28 days old, depending on thickness.
