Description  

EPOCOTE F100W is a two-part, water-based epoxy primer and sealer available in Clear and Grey. Use it on prepared damp or green concrete with up to 10% moisture content before compatible waterproofing systems.

Prime damp and green concrete

EPOCOTE F100W promotes adhesion for specified SILCOR, CHEMSPRAY and other compatible membranes. It can also seal tiles and step risers to help prevent efflorescence and calcium leachate staining. Select Clear or Grey to suit the finish and specified system.

Clear and Grey have different working times

Both versions have a 1:1 mix ratio by volume. Clear has a 60-minute pot life at 25°C; Grey has a 60–120-minute pot life at 20°C. Working time changes with temperature. Where you're priming prepared dry concrete with up to 5% moisture, compare SILCOR Primer BS as a system alternative.

Yes. Use the specified Clear or Grey system on suitably prepared concrete with up to 10% moisture.

What is the mix ratio?
Both grades mix 1:1 by volume. Clear also specifies 1:1 by weight.

How long is the pot life?
Clear: 60 minutes at 25°C. Grey: 60–120 minutes at 20°C. Working time decreases in warmer conditions.

What coverage should I allow?
Allow approximately 0.25 kg/m² depending on substrate preparation and porosity.

The Clear grade can help control efflorescence on suitable tiles and step risers.
How To Apply  
Prepare structurally sound concrete and other approved substrates in accordance with the current product data sheet. EPOCOTE F100W Clear and Grey are separate grades with different pot lives; both use a 1:1 mix ratio by volume. Mix each full set as specified and apply by brush or roller. On highly porous substrates, the specified system may require a diluted first coat followed by an undiluted coat. Allow at least 0.25 kg/m² depending on substrate porosity and finish. Observe the grade-specific 2–4 hour minimum and 24 hour maximum recoat times at 25°C/60% RH, with curing affected by site conditions. Refer to the separate Australian Clear or Grey product data sheet for the complete method and technical conditions.
Limitations and Safety Info  
Do not apply where concrete moisture content exceeds 10%. Do not apply below 10°C or above 35°C, or above 80% relative humidity. Discard material that has begun to gel. Maximum recoat time is 24 hours at 25°C and 48 hours at 10°C. Prepare concrete to at least 25MPa and the minimum age required by the current GCP system guidance.
