Use Biyseal Acrylic Impregnated Foam for: Sealing expansion joints, polycarbonate sheets, and cladding against dust, moisture, vibration, and weather.

Biyseal Acrylic Impregnated Foam is a high-performance, acrylic-solution infused polyurethane foam designed to deliver a long-lasting seal against dirt, dust, moisture, vibration, and water ingress. Its closed-cell construction compresses to seal tight and recovers quickly, making it ideal for dynamic joints and surfaces prone to movement or vibration.

Product Details: This foam is engineered for use in exterior and interior building applications where traditional sealants may be insufficient. It maintains elasticity even after repeated compression, ensuring long-term performance in cladding, expansion joints, and industrial builds.

Compression & Sealing Capacity: The foam becomes increasingly impermeable as it's compressed. At 25% compression it blocks air and dust, at 50% it seals out moisture, and at 75% it resists heavy water exposure—ideal for sealing against rain and weather extremes.

Thermal Performance: With a service range from -10°C to +70°C, this foam maintains its sealing ability from cold southern climates to the hot, dry interiors of Australia. Perfect for caravans, railways, or industrial sites exposed to the elements.

Available Size: We currently supply this product in 25mm x 25mm dimensions, in 2 metre lengths, with 10 lengths per pack (20 metres total).

Step-by-Step Application Guide for Biyseal Acrylic Impregnated Foam:

  1. Clean Surfaces: Ensure all joint faces are clean and free from oil, dust, or debris. Use isopropyl wipes if necessary.
  2. Select Correct Width: Choose the foam dimension appropriate to the joint gap and desired compression. Aim for 50–75% compression for moisture protection.
  3. Apply to Joint: Press foam into the joint manually or with a roller. Ensure it is compressed evenly throughout the length.
  4. Join Multiple Lengths: Splice strip ends with a wet knife at an angle to form a continuous seal.
  5. Let it Expand: Foam will begin expanding to seal the joint within minutes. Final expansion may take a few hours depending on ambient conditions.
  6. Optional Finishing: Once expanded, the foam can be painted or trimmed as needed.

Important Limitations & Safety When Using Biyseal Acrylic Impregnated Foam:

Product Limitations:

  • Not suitable for continuous underwater use: For full immersion applications, consider Adheseal WetGrab or MarinePro sealants.
  • Not intended as a structural gap filler: Biyseal is for environmental sealing, not bearing load or structural reinforcement.
  • May not bond well to oily or highly textured substrates: Always clean and test first if using with recycled or painted surfaces.

Safety First – Protecting Yourself and Your Workspace:

  • PPE: Wear gloves and safety glasses during installation to avoid skin or eye contact with adhesive residue.
  • Ventilation: Use in well-ventilated areas if applying near mastics or other volatile adhesives.
  • Handling: Avoid storing in dusty or humid environments. Reseal opened packs immediately to retain product performance.
