Description  

ARDEX FS-DD is a non-sanded, fine tile grout for wall and floor joints from 1mm to 4mm. It is specially suited to polished porcelain and other scratch-sensitive tile surfaces, with water-repellent and dirt-resistant performance plus ARDEX Grout Shield to help combat mould growth.

Joint width and tile compatibility

ARDEX specifies FS-DD for joints from 1mm to 4mm. It is suitable for internal and external walls and floors with porcelain, ceramic, glass, terrazzo, slate, quarry tiles and moisture-insensitive natural stone.

Pools and timber floors

ARDEX permits FS-DD in swimming pools and on suitable timber floors when mixed with ARDEX Grout Booster according to the current technical data sheet. Pool applications use Ultra White and require the specified cure before pool chemicals are introduced.

Important limitations

Do not use FS-DD where chemical-resistant joints are required; select a suitable epoxy grout instead. Movement joints require a flexible sealant rather than rigid grout. Test porous, textured or moisture-sensitive tile and stone before grouting.

Non-sanded cement grout for fine internal and external wall and floor joints up to 4mm wide. Hydrophobing technology reduces water and dirt penetration. Contains ARDEX Grout Shield to combat mould growth. Suitable for porcelain, ceramic, glass, terrazzo, slate, quarry tile and moisture-insensitive natural stone. Pot life is about 2.5 hours at 23°C and 50% relative humidity.
How To Apply  
Allow tile adhesive to set before grouting and clean the joints thoroughly. Mix and apply within the approximately 2.5-hour pot life. Pack joints fully up to 4mm wide. Clean diagonally with a damp dense sponge using minimal water. Light foot traffic is possible after about 5 hours at 23°C and 50% relative humidity. For pool work, follow the specified Grout Booster and 14-day cure before adding pool chemicals.
Limitations and Safety Info  
Do not use where chemical resistance is required. Use ARDEX WA or ARDEX Abapoxy instead. Do not fill expansion or movement joints with grout. Use a compatible flexible sealant. Seal porous-faced tiles such as terracotta before grouting. Test textured or absorbent stone and tile surfaces for staining and cleanability. For swimming pools, follow ARDEX's specified Ultra White, Grout Booster and cure requirements. Public pools require ARDEX Abapoxy.
