Its neutral cure formula offers excellent UV stability, long-term durability, and superior adhesion to glass and aluminium substrates. The non-slumping, thixotropic nature of this sealant makes it ideal for both vertical and horizontal joints in various construction scenarios.

Application Guide

  1. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of contaminants.
  2. Clean non-porous surfaces with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or white spirit using a two-wipe method.
  3. Use closed-cell polyethylene backing rod to control joint depth.
  4. Cut cartridge tip and nozzle to the desired bead size at a 45° angle.
  5. Apply sealant firmly into the joint, ensuring full contact with both sides.
  6. Tool the sealant before skinning for a smooth finish and improved adhesion.
  7. Remove excess sealant with a clean cloth or polyethylene scraper.
  8. Masking tape can be used but must be removed before the sealant skins over.

Limitations

  • Not suitable for use in totally confined spaces without access to atmospheric humidity.
  • Not suitable for aquariums, underwater applications, or below-grade applications.
  • Not suitable for horizontal walkways or surfaces subject to corrosion/oxidation.
  • Not paintable.
  • May discolour copper and brass.
