MC-228 Sanitary Flexi Sealant / Grout

MC-228 is an extremely hard wearing, non-beading, waterproof sanitary grade epoxy style sealant/grout that is impervious to dirt, mould and mildew. It is designed as a superior alternative to silicone sealants and grouts for internal tiled areas.

Suitable Substrates: Travertine, ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, and all common building materials.

Application

1. Clean the gap to be sealed and attach the nozzle properly on the cartridge.
2. Insert the MC-228 cartridge into a professional caulking gun.
3. Gun out and dispose of the first 30cm – 40cm of the sealant to ensure uniform mixing.
4. Cover the gap's edge with masking tape before filling it with the sealant.
5. The tip of the nozzle should be smaller than the width of the gap to be applied.
6. Fill the gap with a sufficient amount of sealant.
7. After application, smoothen the sealant using a stainless steel tooling stick.
8. Remove the masking tape after 30 minutes before the sealant hardens.
9. If there is any spill-out, wipe it with alcohol or scrape it using a scraper after it hardens.
10. Let the sealant stay still for 3 to 5 hours, and it will fully cure after 24 hours.
