Gripset BRW PF Tape is a multi-purpose, self-adhesive sealing tape designed for flashing and detailing a variety of surfaces. Its exceptional adhesion properties, thanks to the butyl rubber backing, make it ideal for sealing internal and external surfaces that require protection against moisture ingress, vibration, and flexing. The tape provides an instant seal upon application, eliminating downtime for drying or curing. Suitable for waterproofing, roofing, and general building applications, it can be finished over with various Gripset products like adhesives, membranes, coatings, mortars, and renders.

How To Apply  

Application Guide

  1. Unroll the tape and measure the required length. Cut using scissors or a sharp utility knife.
  2. Remove the release paper from the butyl rubber side.
  3. Position the tape in place with the fabric face exposed upwards.
  4. Press firmly into place using a spatula, roller, sponge, or cloth, ensuring no air pockets or creases remain.
  5. For larger areas, remove the release paper gradually as you unroll and adhere the tape.
  6. Finishes can be applied immediately after the tape is in place.
Limitations  

Limitations

  • Not for use as an exposed flashing; must be covered with a surface finish.
  • Not to be used as a trafficable surface.
  • Not to be used over expansion joints.
  • Concrete surfaces with residual moisture must be sealed with Gripset P10 or E60 vapour barrier primer before application.
  • Do not apply solvent-based finishes or adhesives directly over this product.
