The application process centres on a precise fit and full integration with the membrane. Collars arrive pre-sized, ready for custom trimming to the exact penetration diameter. A cut of 75% of the pipe's diameter ensures a tight, resilient seal around the fitting. Once prepared, the collar beds into a liberal coat of wet Gripset membrane applied to a prepared and primed surface.
It is crucial to fully embed the collar and ensure the fabric edges are saturated, removing any air pockets.
