Product Description  

Everflex Multi Prime is a Single Part rapid drying solvent free low VOC water-based acrylic primer, suitable for Porous and Non-Porous Substrates. Multi-Prime is compatible with most Adheseal supplied Tile Adhesives, Floor Levelling Compounds, Grouts and Waterproofing Membranes.

Acceptable Substrates:

  • Concrete after curing period of 28 days
  • 3:1 sand cement screed or C-Bed
  • Masonry / render after curing period of at least 4 days
  • Cement sheeting / underlay / external weatherboard / blue board
  • Pre-cast concrete once release agent has been removed/ dissipated
  • Wet area plasterboard / Villaboard
  • Timber flooring including structural ply-wood Type A (PAA JAS-ANZ)
  • Brickwork, Hebel (aggregate block)
  • Some Plastics
  • Ceramic Tiles
  • Burnished Concrete

Coverage:

Approximately 5 to 10m per litre. Coverage rate varies depending on substrate porosity.

Cure Time:

Allow the primer to dry to a translucent film (approx. 1 hour @ 23°C). Once Multi-Prime is a tack-free translucent film, subsequent coatings/compounds can be applied over the primer. Please note all cure times vary depending on atmospheric conditions and porosity of the substrate.

Clean Up:

While the product is still wet, tools and spills can be efficiently cleaned with water. For cured product removal, consider using mechanical means.

Limitations  

Limitations:

  • Do not apply when temperatures are below 10oc or above 35oc
  • Limited UV resistance (not designed for long term UV exposure and must be overcoated)
  • Do not apply on damp, wet or contami-nated substrates, if it is raining or if rain is imminent
  • Not suitable for areas subject to hydro-static pressure or rising damp, Everflex VBS is recommended
