Builders Nails is a versatile and high-strength construction adhesive designed for various applications. It offers improved non-slump properties, fast drying, and high strength for reliable bonding. Uses:
Builders Nails demonstrates excellent adhesion to most common substrates, including:
- Floor and wall panels
- Plasterboard
- Particleboard
- Aluminium, iron, steel, wood
- Polystyrene foam
- Concrete
- F.C. sheeting
- Masonry
- And many other common substrates
Methods of Use:
One-Way Method:
1. Apply a 4 to 6mm bead using a cartridge gun.
2. Immediately bring both substrates together and clamp, nail, or screw for a minimum of 24 hours.
3. For butt joints, use adhesive on both panel edges.
4. To prevent floors from squeaking, apply a bead into the groove of each panel before mating the tongue with the next panel.
5. Follow the adhesive application specifications provided by the flooring manufacturer for flooring applications.
Two-Way Method:
1. Apply adhesive following the one-way method and firmly bring surfaces together to transfer adhesive.
2. Allow to tack off for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on weather conditions.
3. Reposition the objects and press firmly together.
4. To ensure maximum contact, tap surfaces together with a hammer and padded blocks.
5. Maximum bond strength will be achieved in 12 - 72 hours, depending on weather conditions.
6. Heavy panels may require temporary mechanical fastening until maximum bond strength is achieved.
Cleaning:
Remove excess adhesive with mineral turps while still wet.
