Husky Acribond A3000 Grey Acrylic Foam Tape is a high-bond double-sided acrylic foam tape for mounting and joining sheet metal, exterior cladding and composite panels, signage, automotive trim and other compatible assemblies. The current A3110G construction uses 1.1 mm grey acrylic foam with strong UV, solvent and weather resistance.

For best bond development, clean and prepare both surfaces, apply firm even pressure and allow the acrylic adhesive to wet out over time. Husky states approximately 50% adhesion after 20 minutes, with full bond strength developing after about 72 hours depending on temperature.

What is the difference between A3000 Grey and A4000 Clear?
A3000 is a 1.1 mm grey acrylic foam tape and is the Acribond series Husky identifies for better application in cooler conditions. A4000 is clear and is specifically suited to acrylic and glass bonding where a transparent bond line is preferred.

How To Apply

Clean both bonding surfaces with a suitable solvent such as an IPA/water mix and remove oil, grease, oxidation and loose contamination. Apply the tape without touching the adhesive, then use firm roller or flat-tool pressure of approximately 100 kPa (15 psi) to maximise wet-out. Bond strength builds with time: approximately 50% after 20 minutes, with ultimate bond strength developing over about 72 hours depending on ambient temperature.

Limitations and Safety Info

Bond performance depends on surface preparation, pressure, temperature and the actual substrate; the buyer must confirm suitability for the application. Surfaces must be free from oil, dust, powder and release agents. Porous materials should be sealed before bonding. Acribond is best applied around 21–35°C; Husky specifically identifies the A3000 series for improved application at cooler temperatures.
