Husky Acribond A4000 Clear Acrylic Foam Tape is a clear high-bond double-sided acrylic foam tape for acrylic, glass, signage and display work where a visible grey foam bond line is not wanted. The current A4100C construction uses 1.0 mm clear acrylic foam with strong UV, solvent and weather resistance.

Clean and prepare both surfaces, apply firm even pressure and allow the bond to build over time. Husky states approximately 50% adhesion after 20 minutes, with full bond strength developing after about 72 hours depending on temperature.

Husky's current A4100C data specifies 1.0 mm clear acrylic foam with excellent UV, solvent and weather resistance. The clear series is specifically suited to acrylic, glass, signs/nameplates and other assemblies where visible grey foam would be undesirable.

How To Apply

Clean both bonding surfaces with a suitable solvent such as an IPA/water mix, then lightly abrade where appropriate to remove oxidation or improve the bonding surface. Apply the tape without touching the adhesive and use firm roller or flat-tool pressure of approximately 100 kPa (15 psi). Bond strength builds over time: approximately 50% after 20 minutes, with ultimate bond strength developing over about 72 hours depending on ambient temperature.

Limitations and Safety Info

Bond performance depends on surface preparation, pressure, temperature and the actual substrate; the buyer must independently confirm suitability. Surfaces must be free from oil, dust, powder and release agents. Porous materials should be sealed before bonding. Best application temperature is approximately 21–35°C. For colder application conditions, Husky recommends the A3000 series rather than A4000.
