Use Mountain Grout Flexible for: Crack and joint repair in concrete structures, waterproofing, void filling, and creating a flexible, durable seal.

Mountain Grout Flexible is a single-component, hydrophobic polyurethane grout designed for professional concrete repair. Its low viscosity allows for deep penetration into cracks and joints, expanding up to 30 times its initial volume upon contact with minimal water. This expansion creates a closed-cell foam that forms a flexible, durable, and watertight seal, ideal for various applications, including water-related facilities, tunnels, and underground vaults. The addition of the "B" accelerator allows for job site control of the reaction time.

Key Features

  • Hydrophobic: Forms a watertight seal.
  • Flexible: Accommodates movement in concrete structures.
  • High Expansion: Fills voids and cracks effectively.
  • Low Viscosity: Penetrates deeply into cracks.
  • VOC-Free: Environmentally friendly.
  • Controllable Reaction Time: Accelerator allows for job site adjustments.

Technical Overview

  • Chemical Properties: Hydrophobic Polyurethane
  • Application Temperature Range: (Consult manufacturer's documentation)

Trade Professional Information

  • Required Tools: Grout pump, mixing equipment (if using accelerator), personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves and eye protection.
  • Trade-Specific Tips: Proper surface preparation is crucial. Clean cracks thoroughly and ensure they are free of debris. The amount of "B" accelerator added will control the reaction time. Start with small amounts and test the reaction before proceeding with large batches. Consider using a pressure injection method for deeper cracks.
  • Common Issues and Solutions: Uncontrolled expansion can occur if too much accelerator is used. Always test the mix ratio first. Ensure proper safety measures are taken when working with polyurethane grouts.

Storage and Shelf Life

  • Storage Requirements: Store in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture.
  • Shelf Life Information: (Consult manufacturer's documentation)
  • Temperature Considerations: Avoid extreme temperatures.
