Megapoxy 34 is a low-viscosity electrical potting and casting epoxy for protecting underground cable joints, transformer coils and switchgear components. It pours into prepared housings and around electrical connections before curing into a hard insulating mass.
Use it to cast underground cable joints or encapsulate instrument transformers, lighting transformers, small power transformers and coils. Its pourable consistency helps it reach the spaces around components, while the cured resin provides electrical insulation and mechanical protection.
Choose 34 for cable-joint potting and general electrical encapsulation. Megapoxy E is aimed at transformer and switchgear casting where selection between Hardener E and the higher-temperature E155 formulation matters. Their mixing ratios are different: 34 is mixed at 4 parts A to 3 parts B by volume or weight.
Before pouring: Clean and dry housings and components, mix thoroughly and pour slowly to avoid trapped air. Pot life is around 30 minutes, with a 24-hour cure at 25°C. The 150°C peak temperature rating is not a continuous service-temperature rating.
