EverKrete Accelerator

For cold room installations, winter concrete repairs, or high-traffic commercial floors where you cannot afford standard cure windows, Accelerator speeds up EverKrete 102 resin to achieve a full cure in as little as 15 minutes. This single-component additive allows for successful applications down to -18°C, preventing frozen or uncured resin on cold substrates.

Cure acceleration and cold-weather priming

Accelerator modifies the curing reaction of EverKrete 102 resin to drastically shorten return-to-service times. In low-temperature environments, standard resins slow down or stop curing entirely; adding this accelerant keeps the chemical reaction active on cold concrete, masonry, and screeds. It also serves as a low-temperature priming system when mixed with EverKrete 102 at ratios between 100:1 and 200:1, securing adhesion on substrates from +10°C down to -18°C.

• -18°C to 35°C application range: The safe service window for chemical reaction, allowing repairs in active cold storage facilities and sub-zero winter environments.
• 15-minute minimum cure time: The fastest achievable full cure under optimal conditions, minimising downtime on critical traffic paths.
• 100:1 to 1000:1 variable mix ratio: Highly adjustable dosage control to balance your work time against the ambient, substrate, and material temperatures on-site.
• 300:1 standard starting ratio: The recommended baseline mix (such as adding 3.3 ml of Accelerator to 1 litre of catalysed EverKrete 102) for initial on-site testing.

Where to use it

This additive is compatible with EverKrete 102 applications on the following substrates:

• Concrete cured for a minimum of 28 days
• Burnished concrete and pre-cast concrete (once release agents are fully removed or dissipated)
• 3:1 sand cement screed or C-Bed
• Masonry and render cured for at least 4 days
• Brickwork and Hebel aggregate blocks
• Ceramic tiles and some plastics

Mixing and application

Because this additive rapidly shortens working time, careful measurement and preparation are required to avoid premature curing in the vessel.

• Do not mix additives simultaneously: Never add the standard catalyst and Accelerator to the resin at the same time.
• Step 1: Thoroughly mix the standard catalyst into the EverKrete 102 resin first.
• Step 2: Measure the exact dose of Accelerator and add it to the already catalysed resin.
• Step 3: Power mix for 30 to 60 seconds to ensure even dispersion before immediate application.
• Clean-up: Clean all mixing tools and wet spills immediately using Acetone. Once cured, the product must be removed mechanically.

Limitations

• Do not apply if ambient or substrate temperatures are below -18°C or above 35°C.
• Do not apply to damp, wet, or contaminated surfaces.
• Do not apply if rain is falling or imminent.
