Everbond PVA Crosslink Adhesive is a water-resistant, self-crosslinking adhesive designed for the woodworking industry, specifically for cabinetry, shopfitting, and joinery applications. It is ideal for dowelling, laminating, and other woodworking tasks. This single-component adhesive offers quick bonding properties, high strength, and non-staining of timber. It does not require mixing, has a long shelf life, and can be cured under ambient or hot press conditions.
Everbond PVA Crosslink Adhesive is a water-borne synthetic resin adhesive that conforms to AS 2754.2 1991 and EN204 standards. It provides a firm and very water-resistant bond through a combination of water dissipation and crosslinking. The adhesive is optimized for cure when the adhesive interphase reaches moisture equilibrium, typically taking about seven days, depending on substrate and adhesive mass, timber density, moisture content, and ambient conditions. For accelerated cure, hot pressing can be used, and water resistance can be further increased by thermocuring with the addition of catalyst number 1 at a rate of 1% w/w.
Curing of Everbond PVA Crosslink Adhesive occurs through water dissipation and crosslinking under ambient conditions, resulting in a firm and very water-resistant bond. The cure time is optimized when the adhesive interphase reaches moisture equilibrium, typically taking about seven days. The cure time can be accelerated by hot pressing, and water resistance can be increased by thermocuring with the addition of catalyst number 1 at a rate of 1% w/w. Recommended thermocuring cycle involves exposure to 80°C for 30 seconds followed by 130°C for 30 seconds.
Store Everbond PVA Crosslink Adhesive indoors under ambient conditions. Keep containers closed when not in use to maintain product quality.
