A chalk line for setting datum lines on floors and walls before tiling or laying out work. Snap a line where the grid starts and every tile or panel keys off one mark instead of drifting a few millimetres a row.
The aluminium case takes site knocks, the reel re-chalks the line as you rewind, and the hooked handle doubles as a plumb bob. The fill port seals, so chalk stays in the case, not in your bag. 30m (100ft) of cord.
Sets straight datum lines across large floors and walls.
Aluminium case with 30m (100ft) cord.
Self-chalking reel re-inks the line on rewind; hooked handle doubles as a plumb bob.
Fix the hook at one end, run the line taut to the mark, lift and snap. Check the line against your datum before each run. Refill through the sealed port with line chalk.
Chalk marks permanently on porous finishes: snap lines inside the tile field only, or use a straight edge on finished surfaces.
