It is the 600ml solution for high-volume jobs where speed, strength, and flexibility are non-negotiable.
This product is an elastomeric MS hybrid polymer adhesive/sealant engineered for immediate grab and high-end strength. It handles diverse bonding and sealing applications across building, industrial, sign, display, vehicular, caravan, and marine sectors. Formulated as a 600ml sausage, Hi-Power 609 is designed for high-volume application via pneumatic, cordless, or hand gun, making it efficient for large projects. It ensures elastic bonding for components subject to vibration or deformation, and allows vertical application of heavy materials without extensive temporary support, even on damp surfaces.
Apply Hi-Power 609 at temperatures between 5°C to 40°C. Load the 600ml sausage into your pneumatic, cordless, or hand gun. Use a triangular nozzle, holding the gun at a 90° angle, dispensing the adhesive behind the nozzle. Ensure a triangular bead at least 2mm thick for optimal elastic performance. For non-porous surfaces like aluminium or powder-coated metals, clean and pre-treat with Adheseal 50A Surface Prep. For porous substrates such as concrete or cement-based renders, prime with Everflex Supaprime Sealant Primer. Allow 30 minutes to 2 hours for primers to flash off before applying the adhesive.
The product skins in 10 to 30 minutes and cures at approximately 2mm per 24 hours at 25°C and 50% humidity. Cure times vary with atmospheric conditions and substrate porosity, as atmospheric humidity is required for curing. While wet, clean tools and spills with white spirit. A successful bond starts with a properly prepared surface. The substrate must be clean, dry or slightly damp, structurally sound, and completely free of contaminants.
Use a two-wipe process. First, wipe the surface with a clean cloth soaked in a suitable cleaner like 100% White Spirits to remove oils and grease. Immediately wipe dry with a separate, clean cloth before the solvent evaporates.
Mechanically remove all loose and friable material using a stiff brush or grinder. Ensure all dust is removed by vacuum or air blower. New concrete must be cured for a minimum of 28 days.
For maximum grab and final bond strength, the application technique is critical. Use a quality caulking gun for consistent pressure and flow.
Cut the nozzle to create a 'V' shape. Hold the caulking gun at a 90° angle to the substrate and apply the adhesive in vertical beads. This creates a triangular bead that is twice as high as it is wide, ensuring it compresses and spreads correctly when the item is pressed into place.
Once the adhesive is applied, you have a short window to complete the bond while the surface is still wet and tacky.
Firmly press the item to be bonded onto the adhesive beads. The instant grab will hold it in place. Apply even pressure across the entire surface to ensure the adhesive spreads and achieves full contact, creating a final bond line of at least 2mm.
Wear nitrile rubber gloves and safety glasses during handling and application. Assess site-specific hazards for any additional PPE requirements.
Natural ventilation is adequate under normal use. Avoid use in totally closed rooms where atmospheric humidity for curing is restricted.
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, out of direct sunlight, at temperatures between 5°C to 30°C. Keep containers closed and upright. Shelf life is 9 months from the date of manufacture. Dispose of according to state or local regulations.

Surface prep: Lightly roughen aluminium, stainless steel, PVC, glazed tiles, waterproof membranes, galvanised steel, and powder-coated metals using a fine abrasive pad. Clean using the two-wipe process with clean cloths and suitable solvent preparation.
