Gripset GP is a unique, multipurpose 2-in-1 primer and bonding agent designed to enhance the performance of Gripset membranes and tile adhesives. As a primer, it improves the adhesion of these products to various substrates. As a bonding agent, it strengthens cement-based compounds, making them more water-resistant and durable. Gripset GP is suitable for both internal and external use, even in areas exposed to harsh weather conditions or immersion.

How To Apply  

Application Guide

As a Primer:

  • For Gripset membranes: Apply neat (undiluted).
  • For tile adhesive, screed, or render primer on porous surfaces: Dilute 1 part Gripset GP with 2 parts water.
  • Apply using a brush, roller, or airless spray.

As a Bonding Agent:

  • High bonding slurry coat: Mix 1 part Gripset GP with 1.5 parts cement and brush apply in two coats for approximately 0.5mm thickness.
  • Grouts and cement-based adhesive improver: Add a 1:1 solution of Gripset GP and water to the grout/cement adhesive mix.
Limitations  

Limitations

  • Not suitable for use on glass or glazed surfaces.
  • Do not apply over curing compounds, wax/oily surfaces, fibreglass, plastic, or silicone-treated surfaces.
  • Not recommended as a primer for areas with rising damp or negative hydrostatic pressure.
  • Not to be applied over raw steel or metals unless otherwise specified.
