Everflex Aqua-Ban

Everflex Aqua-Ban is a single component self-reinforced elastomeric waterproof membrane specially designed for under tile applications. It cures to form a durable, odourless, and seamless waterproof membrane tested in accordance with AS-4858:2004 and AS-4654.1, making it suitable for both internal and external use.

• Low permeability, allowing for use on timber floors
• Fully cured Aqua-Ban is resistant to re-emulsification in immersed environments
• Suitable for under tile/bed applications where the substrate doesn't readily fall to floor waste

Applications of Everflex Aqua-Ban:

• Wet areas, shower recesses, bathrooms, laundries, and toilets
• Patios, terraces, decks, and balconies to be topped or tiled
• Concrete slabs above and below grade
• Underground tanking and waterproofing

Limitations:

• Do not use externally if rain is imminent
• Do not use when temperatures are below 10°C or above 40°C
• Limited UV resistance (not designed for permanent UV exposure and must be tiled or topped)

For application, ensure proper surface preparation, including rectifying cracks, holes, and deformities. Priming is recommended for dusty, porous, and hot surfaces. Everflex SBP, Everflex WBP, or Everflex VBS can be used as primers depending on the application requirements. Joints and internal corners should be treated with suitable bond breakers, and tile adhesives can be successfully applied over Everflex Aqua-Ban.
