Multithane STD is a single-pack, liquid-applied, moisture-curing polyurethane waterproofing membrane. It forms a tough, seamless, and elastomeric membrane ideal for non-exposed areas. It is suitable for both above and below-ground applications and adheres well to most primed substrates. This Australian-made product is formulated for long-term waterproofing performance and meets Australian Standards AS4858, AS4654.1, and AS3740.

Application Guide:

  1. Prepare surfaces by ensuring they are sound, stable, dry, and clean.
  2. Prime surfaces as recommended (refer to the product datasheet for specific primers).
  3. Apply MULTITHANE STD by brush, roller, broom, or squeegee in two coats.
  4. Achieve a minimum dry film thickness of 1.2mm for horizontal surfaces and 1.0mm for vertical surfaces.
  5. Allow the first coat to dry before applying the second coat within 36 hours.
  6. For exposed areas, topcoat with MULTITHANE ATC for UV protection.

Limitations:

  • Not designed for long-term direct UV exposure (cover within six weeks).
  • Not a trafficable membrane (occasional foot traffic during construction is acceptable).
  • Not suitable for prolonged contact with high chlorine concentrations (>10 ppm).
  • Direct tile adhesion not advised (seek technical advice).
  • Cannot be applied to damp surfaces.
