Gripset XpressLay is a next-generation high strength reinforced self-adhesive PVC sheet that offers unique properties for waterproofing wet area applications, internal and external. At less than 1mm film thickness, XpressLay provides tensile strength properties of 13MPa offering standalone benefits and advantages for wet area waterproofing. The innovative self-adhesive properties of XpressLay enable the sheet to be applied directly over substrates and removed or re-positioned, without compromising the bond to surfaces or performance of the shear adhesion strength over floor surfaces.

Application Guide

  1. Ensure the surface is dry and free of moisture.
  2. Prepare the surface by removing dirt, dust, and other contaminants.
  3. Measure and cut the membrane to the required dimensions.
  4. Remove the release paper and tack the membrane onto the surface.
  5. Use a flat trowel, heavy roller, dry sponge, or float to remove creases and ensure firm bonding.
  6. For overlapping sheets, ensure a 50mm overlap and seal with Gripset liquid membrane.

Limitations

  • Not to be used as an exposed membrane finish
  • Not to be used as a trafficable surface
  • Not suitable for use over expansion joints
  • Concrete surfaces with residual moisture must be sealed with Gripset P10 or E60 vapour barrier primer
  • Avoid applying solvent-based finishes or adhesives directly over BRW-PFN
