Megapoxy 206 Heavy Duty Grout (2 Part Kit)

Megapoxy 206 is a two-component, 100% solids, resin-based, solvent-free, hydrophilic water-displacing, flowable epoxy grout, designed specifically for use in civil engineering applications, where development of high compressive and impact strength is required.

Application Guide

1. Concrete should be free from grease and oil. If necessary, clean with industrial heavy duty degreaser.
2. Remove surface laitance by mechanical abrasion such as scabbling, grit blasting, or grinding.
3. If acid etching is necessary, mix concentrated hydrochloric acid with equal volume of water and spread at the rate of 0.5 litre per square meter of concrete surface. Allow to react for about 10 minutes and wash the area thoroughly.
4. For metal surfaces, grit blast to AS CK 9.4 - 1964 Class 3 finish. If not possible, mechanically abrade the surface to a clean, bright metal surface.
5. If bonding to coated surfaces, it is recommended to remove all coatings prior to bonding to achieve superior bond strengths.

Limitations

• Ensure accurate mixing ratio to avoid lower physical properties of the cured system.
• Avoid application in high ambient temperatures to prevent shortened usable life.
• Do not apply over substrate previously treated with curing compounds, PVA concrete bonding agents, or acrylic coatings. Mechanically clean these areas before application.
