Please note, this product is BOX BUY only.

Sikaflex® Pro is a high-performance 1-component, moisture-curing, and elastic joint sealant specially designed for concrete and masonry facades. Its excellent movement capability and adhesion make it suitable for various sealing applications both indoors and outdoors.

Sikaflex® PRO is a versatile, high-performance, one-component, moisture-curing, elastic joint sealant designed for various construction applications. With a movement capability of ±25%, it is ideal for sealing both static and dynamic joints on porous substrates. Sikaflex® PRO is ready to use, requiring no mixing, and adheres well to a variety of substrates without the need for primers in most cases.

Uses

Sikaflex® PRO is suitable for a wide range of interior and exterior sealing applications, including:

  • Movement and connection joints in concrete and masonry facades.
  • General sealing applications on porous substrates.
  • Perimeter joints around windows and doors.
  • Joints in precast concrete elements.

Benefits

  • High Movement Capability: Accommodates joint movement up to ±25%, making it suitable for dynamic joints.
  • Good Workability: Easy to apply and tool, even in challenging conditions.
  • Excellent Adhesion: Bonds well to many porous substrates without priming, saving time and effort.
  • Durable and Weather-Resistant: Withstands harsh weather conditions, UV exposure, and ageing, ensuring long-lasting performance.
  • Paintable: Compatible with many paint systems after curing, allowing for seamless integration with the surrounding surfaces.
  • Water-Resistant: Can be used in damp areas, making it suitable for a variety of applications.

Application Guide

  1. Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, sound, and free from contaminants. For optimal adhesion, follow specific pretreatment guidelines for non-porous substrates (see the product data sheet).
  2. Backing Rod Installation: Insert a closed-cell polyethylene foam backing rod to control sealant depth and ensure a proper 2:1 width-to-depth ratio.
  3. Priming (if required): For critical, high-performance applications or non-porous substrates, use Sika® primers as recommended in the product data sheet.
  4. Sealant Application: Using a sealant gun, extrude Sikaflex® PRO into the joint, ensuring full contact with the sides to avoid air entrapment.
  5. Tooling: Within the skinning time, tool the sealant firmly against the joint sides for optimal adhesion. Use masking tape for neat lines and a compatible tooling agent (e.g., Sika® Tooling Agent N) for a smooth finish.
  6. Cleaning: Clean tools and equipment with Sika® Remover-208 or Sika® TopClean T immediately after use.

Limitations

  • Not suitable for use on natural stone, bituminous substrates, natural rubber, EPDM rubber, or materials that may bleed oils, plasticisers, or solvents.
  • Not recommended for joints under constant water pressure or permanent water immersion.
  • Not for use in or around swimming pools.
